Love is Patient

This 9"x12" original acrylic painting illustrates the Biblical verse from I Corinthians 13 that is especially popular at weddings: Love is patient. Love is kind. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Flanking a giant rose representing love, a man and woman exchange their tokens of love. A bluebird flies overhead.

The painting has a crackled finish and oil glaze and is set in a double-beveled frame on which the verse is painted. Faux-graining surrounds the verse.

Girl in white with black & white cat

If you are considering commissioning a portrait, this might give you some ideas for compositions.

A young girl in a white dress stands on a red braided rug, holding her tuxedo cat, which is just hanging there staring at the viewer. I have used graining combs to render the door and floor boards and faux graining techniques for the frame as well. Framed original acrylic painting with oil glaze
